Meet Our Founders

Founded by semi-professional basketball players, Chuck Duru and Prince Lartey, our objective is to promote basketball as a tool to improve health & wellness, character building and discipline through our fun-filled sessions

Chuck Duru
Co-Founder/Director

Chuck has been playing basketball since he was 12 years old, having previously played football since the age of 6 up to club and school level, before making the switch.

After a successful junior career, winning multiple championships at club, school and academy level, Chuck was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to attend a preparatory high school in the US, where he competed against some of the top high school players in the US. After this stint, he went onto receive a Santander Sports Scholarship for basketball at Newcastle University, where he was the first British undergraduate to receive the award for basketball.

He has since played in the NBL for Team Newcastle Hemel Storm, Reading Rockets, Essex & Herts Leopards and Westminster Warriors.

Prince Lartey
Co-Founder/Director

Prince has been playing basketball for more than 15 years, having started at the age of 11. He has achieved notable success in the sport, including winning the NBL and representing London at a Regional level.

Prince was fortunate to receive a scholarship to attend a preparatory high school in the US, where he had the opportunity to compete against some of the best high school players in the country. He then received a MoFarah & Santander Sports Scholarship for basketball and attended both Brunel University and Newcastle University.

Prince’s basketball career includes playing for various NBL teams such as Thames Valley, Hemel Storm, Essex & Herts Leopards, and Westminster Warriors.

OUR VISION

Our vision is simple – to increase the access to basketball for as many children as possible. Basketball has changed our lives for the better and we hope to positively impact the lives of as many young people as possible!

Our sessions are in partnership with local schools and clubs and are led by qualified coaches, all of whom hold at least a level one qualification and have a valid DBS. We offer a variety of programs, in which the sessions are based around teaching the fundamentals of basketball, through fun-filled activities.
